The passport was kept by the poet in an envelope labelled "My father's passport". Accompanied by two photographic copies of both sides from a photo studio in Alexandria. A copy of each side of the passport has been certified by the Greek Consulate of Alexandria.

It was issued in London and mentions that its owner is widow of Peter John Cavafy, who has been a naturalised British citizen since 1850 and that she may travel in Europe and Africa, accompanied by her sons, Paul, John and Constantine, aged 16, 13 and 12, respectively. The date and personal details are handwritten. Bearer's signature.
