              Handwritten letter by Paul Cavafy to C. P. Cavafy from Hyères, France, dated "23 April 1912", in three of the pages of a bifolio. It is a reply to a letter he had received from Cavafy. Paul describes the conditions of his trip to Italy and the comforts he had enjoyed, while he repeats his admiration for the places he visited and the monuments and works of arts he saw. He concludes with references to technological developments. Of note is the use of English and French words and phrases in the flow of written discourse.

He informs the poet about the impending trip schedule as well as of the identity and the status of the family he is accompanying.
