The author expresses his views on personal remarks made by Cavafy in their previous correspondence, which appear to cause conflict between them. Extensively detailed reference to performances and events he attended while in London ("Bluebeard", "Promenade Concerts", "Iolanthe [or the Peer and the Peri]", "M.P.", "A private wire") and Paris ("Faust", "L'Africaine", "Les Rantzau", "Le jour et la nuit", 'Frou Frou", "Excelsior"). He expresses satisfaction for his business with a foreign publishing house (Routledge); he mentions, inter alia, the work "Theodora" by Kl. Ragkavis.
