The first four pages contain the names of ladies visited by Charikleia Cavafy, written by herself in Greek and French. Next to some of the names is the address and the day on which the hostess accepted visits. The remaining pages are blank.

The text narrates the history of the Cavafy family from the 18th century (1728) and Peter Cavafy to the time and family of the poet, citing all known information on every person, providing more details and placing greater emphasis on the members of his own family as well as on members of other (often related) families linked to it.
