Handwritten christening certificate of Cavafy on the first page of a double sheet notepaper. The remaining pages are blank. The printed logo of the Greek Community of Alexandria at top right of the first page. The certificate mentions that C. P. Cavafy was born on 17-4-1863 in Alexandria and was baptised on 28-5-1864 at the church of the Annunciation, with Amalia Pitaridi as his godmother. Issued on 9/21-3-1889. Handwritten note on an official sheet of the ministry of Public Works, used as frontispiece for a copy of the christening certificate and its English translation. Handwritten copy of Cavafy's christening certificate, by himself, on the first page of a double sheet notepaper. Date of issuance: 26-2/10-3-1898.
