Ion Dragoumis, who is writing from Alexandroupolis (Dedeağaç), refers to an article of his that he is sending the poet as well as to their common desire to publish a journal (named "Ta tessera tefchi") in Alexandria. He expresses his regret for being unable to meet with Cavafy during the latter's visit to Athens (in 1903).
