The letter is written in parts, given that –as the author clarifies– the second part is added on the same date, but after the composition of the first was completed. Paul expresses his concern about the interruption of the correspondence between the two brothers -there are details regarding the dates of the last letters– which is restored in the second part of the letter. Paul finally receives a letter by C. P. Cavafy on the same day. It is a reply to a previous letter by Singopoulo, along with which the sender appears to have also received works by Cavafy. In a postscript, Dawkins asks Singopoulo's assistance in locating a publication on Greek popular poetry (Ν. Mavris / E. Papadopoulos, Dodekanisiaki lyra. Tomos protos.
