Paul Vanderborght (1899-1971) was a Belgian poet and founder of the literary journal La Lanterne sourde (1921-1931). He lived in Egypt during the 1920s, where he met Cavafy.

Handwritten letter by Paul Vanderborght to Cavafy on the rectos of two sheets. Blank versos. The second page is numbered. The author refers to an imminent event in honour of the poet and asks him to participate in the committee on Rupert Brooke. The letter is accompanied by a typewritten text on one side of a sheet, regarding the erection of a monument to Brooke on Skyros. (Cairo)
