Archivist's note
In the process of arrangement, the items were divided according to their date (those with date indications) and content relevance (in the case of drafts). The dating of the series (1889) is not questioned –although it is not recorded on the items– since the subject of the letters regards the prolonged absence of Aristeidis Cavafy abroad. Except for the draft letters to Aristeidis and George Cavafy, there are also a draft letter to Maria (Marie) Vourou, wife of Aristeidis, and a note to her brother, Dimitrios Vouros.
