          The transcription and editing of the letters of C. P. Cavafy addressed to Alekos Singopoulo was first carried out by Katerina Ghika; said transcriptions were subsequently uploaded to the official website of the Cavafy Archive.

          Archivist's note

          Cavafy informs Singopoulo about the lecture by Athanasios Marselos at the "Ptolemy" Association, in the series of the lectures organised by the Educational Association of Egypt. In the letter, Marselos is referred to as teacher with the Kafr Al Zayat "Model School".
