Scope and content
Handwritten letter by Paul Cavafy to C. P. Cavafy from Hyères, France, according to the letterhead, dated "27 April 1915". The largest part of the letter is devoted to the news regarding the death of general De Horsey, at whose service Paul Cavafy was, and the consequences of the event on himself. Paul is no longer worried about the interruption in the correspondence with his brother, C. P. Cavafy, after a letter he received from his niece, Charikleia. Of note is the use of English words and phrases in the flow of written discourse. (Hyères)
