On the "title page", the note "Poems written in Greek by C. P. Cavafy translated by J. C. Cavafy" and the indication "Alexandria 1916". Affixed on the page, using two English postage stamps, a print entitled "Poems by C. P. Cavafy. Translated, from the Greek, by J. C. Cavafy" and the indication "Alexandria 1918". It is followed by five pages of contents and the poems in English. The pages are numbered ("i-v" and "1-65") at bottom centre. The volume includes forty-four poems. All poems are typewritten, except for the last, which is written on the last two pages of the volume, one of which bears the number "65" at top left.
