Cavafy’s handwritten letter to Mitsos Papanikolaou. The poet responds to Papanikolaou’s letter and informs him about sending copies of his collections via Stefanos Pargas. He expresses his sincere thanks and deep gratitude for what Papanikolaou wrote in Nea Techni regarding his poetry, but also for Marios Vaianos’s initiative to compile Cavafy’s reviews in his journal. Finally, he asks Papanikolaou if he would like to have a copy of the sketch that Maleas had created for him, as the poet had no recent photograph taken.

The names of individuals are recorded chronollogically (1920-1926); next to the names is the number of issues sent to each of them as well as notes by Cavafy regarding the person who mediates for the acquisition of the issue or who will be the final recipient. An the top of the list it is stated that the distribution started in April 1920. The total of issues distributed is recorded at the end of each page and then it is carried forward to the top of the next one.

Four-page programme of lectures by Mme Barthe (Josephine Barthe d'Yvermont) in the Apollo Theatre of Athens. The lectures are on modern Greek poetry and the Greek origins of certain cities in France. Advertisement of the journal Nea Techni on the last page. Cavafy is included among the authors presented.

Handwritten letter by K. Maleas (it is, most likely, the painter Konstantinos Maleas) to Cavafy on the first and third pages of a bifolio. The remaining pages are blank. The author wants to learn the news of his friends in Alexandria as well as to receive Cavafy's new poems. (Athens)

Handwritten letter by Marios Vaianos to Cavafy in a bifolio, accompanied by the printed programme of the lectures in the "Apollo" theatre of Athens. Reference to an event which included a lecture by J. Barthe D'Yvermont and recitation of poems by Cavafy ("In the Month of Hathor", "Tomb of Iases", etc.) as well as a publication in the newspaper Proia. Rubber stamp of the Hellenic Navy Pension Fund, as the logo, at the top of the first page. (Athens)

Handwriten notes on eight sheets of a notebook (most of which with text on both sides) as well as on one side of four small-size loose sheets. It is a record of thoughts, criticisms and episodes from Cavafy's life with date indications covering the period 28 March 1926-16 April 1930. Reference to the Grammata publishing house, to the journals Libre, Nea Zoi, Nea Techni, Panathinaia, Alexandrini Techni, Nea Epitheorisi and La Semaine égyptienne, to the newspapers I Proia, Tachydromos of Alexandria, Ethnos and The Times as well as to the Delphic Festival, the Nobel Prize, the work I politeia kai i monaxia by K. Palamas, the study O Palamas filosofos by D. Vezanis, the poem "Tragoudi gia tin Eleni" by S. Skipis and the books Skepsi kai zoi by A. Panagiotatou and [Ta gynaikeia pathi.] Afrodisia nosimata by A. Syngelakis. Eftychia Zelita is mentioned as having written down the notes. There is, however, a second handwritng, which is probably that of Makis Antaios, a person who appears to be reproducing the specific episodes.
