Photographs of Cavafy from his childhood up to one year before his death. Some of them depict him with his siblings, while the majority are personal portraits of Cavafy. Most photographs depict the poet at a young age and in some he is slightly older. The sub-file also includes a film negative as well as two glass negatives. The photographers include: Racine, Giuseppe Marzocchini & figlio, Fettel & Bernard etc. Some of the items are dated, while several of the others may be dated approximately.

The sub-fonds is divided into 3 series. ++Series Ι++ includes Cavafy's correspondence and is further divided into three sub-series with the following contents: Sub-series 1, Personal correspondence. Sub-series 2, Family correspondence. Sub-series 3, General correspondence. The personal and family correspondence are divided into incoming and outgoing. ++Series ΙΙ++ contains various items and comprises two files. The first contains diary-type texts written by the poet and the second contains various personal documents (of legal, financial, personal and family-related content as well as ephemera, printed media and works by third parties). ++Series ΙΙΙ++ comprises one file and contains the collection of photographs, divided into personal, family and photographs of third parties.

The series of the Personal Papers of Alekos and Rica Singopoulo comprises five files. File 01 contains documents produced by Alekos and Rica Singopoulo which shed light on the personality and poetic work of Cavafy. File 02 (comprising three sub-files) contains the correspondence of the Singopoulos with the poet and with third parties, as well as Alekos Sigopoulo's correspondence with a British publishing house regarding the first collective edition of Cavafy's poems in English. File 03 comprises items relating to other activities of the Singopoulos as well as personal documents. File 04 contains the collection of photographs in possession of Alekos and Rica Singopoulo. File 05 comprises the sketches depicting Cavafy in possession of Alekos Singopoulo.

Handwritten notes by Cavafy. Some of them are the poet's thoughts regarding his life and work as well as poetry and art in general; they are in the form of short prose texts, while others are related to specific poems of his, by way of comments. 22 of the items are dated.

Personal notes by Cavafy on various subjects. They include notes recording his engagement in gambling; lists of personal and household items and garments; notes on household chores; notes of confessional nature, related to the poet's personal and love life; the notes through which the poet communicated during the last period of his life, when he was unable to speak due to his illness; notes containing the poet's thoughts on his life and his art as well as others, related to friends and relatives. Finally, two handwritten lists with titles of printed media (which he, most προβαβλυ, had in his possession). Twenty-three of the items are dated.

Legal documents from the Greek Consulate and the Greek Consular Court of Alexandria, by virtue of which Cavafy's will was probated, and Alekos Singopoulo was proclaimed the main heir to the poet, as well as relevant documents from Singopoulo's attorneys-at-law. The sub-file also includes various items of personal nature, such as programmes of amateur theatrical performances (in which Alekos and Rica Singopoulo participated), a title page from a poetry collection of Cavafy with a handwritten dedication by the poet to Singopoulo, handwritten and typewritten book lists, excerpts from French authors by Rica Singopoulo, etc.

The sub-series includes two files. The first file (17) contains the outgoing correspondence in three sub-files. The second file (18) contains the incoming correspondence in three sub-files.

Three printed permits of stay for Cavafy for the years 1890, 1891 and 1893. The last two are accompanied by receipt duplicates. The names and dates are handwritten.

It is mentioned, in the first sheet, that this is an excerpt from a work that is about to be published and the author's previous books Trilogia tou pnevmatos (1928) and Peri technis (1930) are listed. Note related to the journal *Alexandrini Techni" in the same sheet. Cancellations, emendations and underlinings. The text does not appear to conclude in the last sheet. On the verso of all sheets, printed letter from the Greek Teachers' Union of Alexandria (20/2/1929) regarding a concert they were organising.

Manuscript of the poem "Pelasgian Image" on both sides of a ruled sheet, written in a handwriting other than Cavafy's, with emendations and additions by the poet. Number "161" at top right of the verso and date indication below ("Sept. 1892"). Affixed piece of another paper across the left-hand side. Number "162" at top left of the verso.

Personal scrapbook of many sheets with attached printed and handwritten invites addressed to Paul and the Cavafy family for various social events, some newspaper publications as well as other relevant souvenirs (menus, lists with balls etc.). On some pages, handwritten notes, either of chronological indications noting the changing of the years or, rarely, clarifying notes about an invitation etc.

Greek passport of the poet's father, P. I. Cavafy, issued by the Greek embassy in Istanbul. The date and personal details are handwritten. Visas from Trieste, Vienna and Berlin on the verso. The passport was kept by the poet in an envelope labelled "My father's passport". Accompanied by two photographic copies of both sides from a photo studio in Alexandria. A copy of each side of the passport has been certified by the Greek Consulate of Alexandria.

Cavafy's 1st class passport issued in Alexandria and valid for six months. The bearer's details, signature and date are handwritten. Tax stamped and sealed. Accompanied by handmade folder with a note as to its contents, written by Rica Singopoulo.

British passport of Cavafy's mother, Charikleia, affixed on a leather cover. It was issued in London and mentions that its owner is widow of Peter John Cavafy, who has been a naturalised British citizen since 1850 and that she may travel in Europe and Africa, accompanied by her sons, Paul, John and Constantine, aged 16, 13 and 12, respectively. The date and personal details are handwritten. Bearer's signature.

Cavafy's Greek passport for the year 1932, comprising thirty-two numbered pages. It was originally valid for three months (25 June-25 September) and was extended until early November, as mentioned in page "10". The poet's photograph and signature in page "3".
