Handwritten text on a homemade notepad, sewn on the spine. Travel diary and notes. The title handwritten on the cover. Mentions of non-Greek publications and bibliographical references to 1880 and 1807 editions. Some pages are blank. One page in Greek. Note on metrics below (Homeric?) verses in English. Copy of a poem by D. Solomos and its translation into English. The poet departs, together with his mother and two of his siblings, on a steamboat to Istanbul on the aftermath of the Urabi Revolt, for which young Cavafy provides a short analysis. Extensive reference to the members of the Fotiadis family. The narration covers the period 23/6-8/7/[1882].
Cavafy, C. P.Handwritten draft letter by Cavafy to an unknown recipient on Chios, on a ruled double sheet notepaper. Reference to the weather conditions on Chios as well as to common acquaintances of the two men. The poet describes in great detail festivities in Alexandria, on the occasion of 600th anniversary of the establishment of the Swiss Confederation, a fact that could date the draft letter to August ("Aug." noted in pencil at top left of the first page and references to that month in the text) 1891. Reference to the summer social life of Alexandria as well as to a visit by a Greek warship (the "Ares") to the city. Cancellations, abbreviations. Interpolated phrases in French. The end of the text is missing.

The author refers to re-publishing the journal Nea Techni and comments, among other things, on the criteria on the basis of which Cavafy donates his poems to others.
