Handwritten letter by Charikleia Cavafy to Cavafy in the first two pages of a bifolio, with mourning border. The remaining pages are blank. She expresses her feelings of love for her son, who is not in Alexandria (he is possibly in Cairo) as well as thoughts on the value of money. She encloses another letter to the poet's brother, Aristeidis, and informs about the imminent arrival of their other brother, John.
