The first part of the text describes the story of Aristobulus, while the second provides information on Cavafy and his work, also including a French translation of the poem "Aristobulus" by G. A. Papoutsakis. Reference to the journal La Semaine égyptienne (issue dedicated to Cavafy, 1929). Handwritten cancellations and emendations in parts of the text by Cavafy himself, as well as other notes in pencil on most sheets. Authorial emendations and signature in ink at the end of the text. The sheets are numbered (2-5).

Handwritten letter by Cavafy to Alekos [Singopoulo] on both sides of a sheet. The poet informs him about the despatch of letters of his to the Singopoulos and details social and philological news from Alexandria. He also updates him on the progress of the printing of the next issue of Alexandrini Techni. (Alexandria)
