Biographical history
Evgenia Zografou was born in Nafplio (Peloponnese, Greece) in 1878. Soon after, her family moved to Athens. She collaborated with various journals and was director of the Elliniki Epitheorisi published by the “Kallitechniki Syntrofia” association. She published short stories, novels, plays, essays and articles. She died in 1963.

Typewritten letter by Evgenia Zografou to Cavafy on one side of a letterhead of the review Elliniki Epitheorisis, of which she is the director. Blank verso. The date, salutation and signature as well as emendation are handwritten. The poet is asked to participate in a celebratory issue of the review for the centennial of the Greek War of Independence.
