Scope and content

Poetry collection by Cavafy (Γ5) comprising 69 poems on 78 loose printed broadsheets. Double-sheet of paperboard in lieu of cover with the printed title "C. P. Cavafy Poems. Alexandria 1915-1924". The second date is handwritten by Cavafy. A second double-sheet follows, the first page of which serves as the title page; the second page is blank; the last two pages contain the table of contents, arranged chronologically in two columns. The last titles in the second column as well as the titles in the last page are handwritten by the poet. The broadsheets were printed at the Kasimatis & Ionas printing house (one was printed at the Mitsanis printing house) in the period 1919-1924. Handwritten emendation in one of the poems and handwritten dedication by Cavafy to G. Petrontas on the verso of the title page.
