              Handmade folder made of a ruled sheet of paper with the handwritten note "Bills belonging to the shares bought by mother + which now have come into my possession". It contains receipts for the purchase of shares through the Crédit Lyonnais, Banque Imperiale Ottomane and Betts & Co, dating to the period 1890-1896. Cavafy's name ("Constantin F. Cavafy", "C. F. Cavafy') appears on three of them, while the name "J. Cavafy" (=John Cavafy) appears on one (1892). A total of five receipts.

The first part of the text describes the story of Aristobulus, while the second provides information on Cavafy and his work, also including a French translation of the poem "Aristobulus" by G. A. Papoutsakis. Reference to the journal La Semaine égyptienne (issue dedicated to Cavafy, 1929). Handwritten cancellations and emendations in parts of the text by Cavafy himself, as well as other notes in pencil on most sheets. Authorial emendations and signature in ink at the end of the text. The sheets are numbered (2-5).

              Printed four-page pamphlet. On the first page, the title "Ancient Days" inside a border. On the second and third pages, the poems "The Tears of Phaëthon's Sisters" and "The Death of the Emperor Tacitus". Below the latter, the initials "C.F.C.". In the fourth page, place (Alexandria) and date indication inside a border similar to that of the first page. This border, similar to that of the pamphlet containing the poem "Prayer" and published in the same year, alludes to the Lagoudakis printing house. Accompanied by 30 copies.

The sheets were printed by the Kasimatis & Ionas printing house in Alexandria, accompanied by the year of printing (1919-1922). In some cases, there are corrections in ink. The last page contains the table of contents with chronological arrangement by year (1915-1921), with the poet’s handwritten additions for year 1921 in ink.
