              Two leather-bound copies of a volume, comprising typewritten English translations of Cavafy's poems by his brother, John. On the cover, the title "Cavafy Poems" in gold letters inside a gold border. On the "title page", the note "Poems written in Greek by C. P. Cavafy translated by J. C. Cavafy" and the indication "Alexandria 1916". It is followed by five pages of contents and the poems in English. The pages are numbered ("i-v" and "1-64") at bottom centre. The volume includes forty-three poems, all typewritten. Only in two instances, when a quote from an ancient author is include, the Greek text has been handwritten by John Cavafy. In that case, John has added his English translation, copied from a publication, on an piece of paper covering the Greek text.

All poems are typewritten, except for the last, which is written on the last two pages of the volume, one of which bears the number "65" at top left.               Handwritten list with chronological indications (1891-1912) and poem titles, on 13 pieces of paper of various sizes. Several titles are abbreviated. Some chronological records are indicated as "rewriting" and are accompanied by the title of the poem to which they refer. Cancellations and emendations throughout the list. Apart from three parts of the item, the rest bear writing (by hand or printed) on either side. The versos of five parts of the item have a different theme (not a chronological list). Explicitly and in squence according to the recto: verso (F5-Φ15) with fragment of a manuscript poem (probably "In an Old Book"), verso (F5-Φ13) with fragment of a manuscript poem (probably a version of "A Love") in handwriting different from that of the poet; verso with fragment of a printed money order card dated 13/7/1893; verso (F5-Φ8) with a short letter by Aristeidis Cavafy to C.               Homemade book consisting of typewritten sheets, printed broadsheets and manuscripts. The "title page" is made of a cover from the 1910 poetry collection of Cavafy, with the printed title "C. P. Cavafy's Poems" and the indication "Alexandria 1910". Below the word "Poems", the handwritten note by John Cavafy "Englished by J. C. Cavafy". It is preceded by a quote of unknown authorship and followed by four pages of contents, with the poem titles in English. They are followed by the English translations of the poems. A total of forty-three of Cavafy's poems are translated. Their titles are either typewritten or handwritten. In some instances, there are inserted printed broadsheets with the poems in Greek or parts of prints affixed on the existing pages. Cancellations and emendations in most translations, be they handwritten or typewritten. The date indication "1912" on one of the broadsheets. The 71 pages of the book are numbered, either typewritten or handwritten. The printed broadsheets are not included in the page numbering. The front and back covers are blank.

              Homemade leather-bound volume, comprising typewritten and printed poems. On the cover, the title "Cavafy Poems" in gold letters. On the "title page" (made of the cover from the 1910 poetry collection of Cavafy) the title "C. P. Cavafy Poems" and the indication "Alexandria 1910" as well as the note "[Englished by J. C. Cavafy]", handwritten by John Cavafy below the word "Poems". It is followed by a page with a quote in English regarding translation. It is followed by the poems, each with the printed text in Greek and the typewritten English translation. Common foliation for both languages. The Greek text of the poem "The City" on a page cut off from the journal Nea Zoi; that of the poem "The God Abandons Antony" on a page cut off from a 1911 issue of the journal Grammata. Four pages of contents in Greek and English, numbered "41" and "42". The pages of contents in Greek have been cut off from the printed poetry collection. They are followed by the English translations of another nine poems, without page numbering. The last two are not accompanied by Greek text. A total of thirty poems have been translated. Handwritten cancellations and emendations in the typewritten poems.

              Printed four-page pamphlet. On the first page, the title "Ancient Days" inside a border. On the second and third pages, the poems "The Tears of Phaëthon's Sisters" and "The Death of the Emperor Tacitus". Below the latter, the initials "C.F.C.". In the fourth page, place (Alexandria) and date indication inside a border similar to that of the first page. This border, similar to that of the pamphlet containing the poem "Prayer" and published in the same year, alludes to the Lagoudakis printing house. Accompanied by 30 copies.
