              Homemade leather-bound volume, comprising typewritten and printed poems. On the cover, the title "Cavafy Poems" in gold letters. On the "title page" (made of a cover from the 1910 poetry collection of Cavafy) the title "C. P. Cavafy Poems" and the indication "Alexandria 1910" as well as the note "[Englished by J. C. Cavafy]", handwritten by John Cavafy below the word "Poems". On the interior of the cover, another handwritten note by John Cavafy dated "14 May 1911". It is followed by the poems, each with the printed text in Greek and the typewritten English translation. The page numbering is common for both languages. The Greek text of the poem "The City" on a page cut off from the journal Nea Zoi and that of the poem "The God Abandons Antony" on a page cut off from the journal Grammata. Four pages of contents in Greek and in English, numbered "41" and "42". The pages of contents in Greek have been cut off from a printed poetry collection. They are followed by the English translations of another five poems, without page numbering. A total of twenty-six poems have been translated.               Homemade book consisting of typewritten sheets, printed broadsheets and manuscripts. The "title page" is made of a cover from the 1910 poetry collection of Cavafy, with the printed title "C. P. Cavafy's Poems" and the indication "Alexandria 1910". Below the word "Poems", the handwritten note by John Cavafy "Englished by J. C. Cavafy". It is preceded by a quote of unknown authorship and followed by four pages of contents, with the poem titles in English. They are followed by the English translations of the poems. A total of forty-three of Cavafy's poems are translated. Their titles are either typewritten or handwritten. In some instances, there are inserted printed broadsheets with the poems in Greek or parts of prints affixed on the existing pages. Cancellations and emendations in most translations, be they handwritten or typewritten. The date indication "1912" on one of the broadsheets. The 71 pages of the book are numbered, either typewritten or handwritten. The printed broadsheets are not included in the page numbering. The front and back covers are blank.

              Cavafy's collection containing 25 poems of the 1910-1915 period. Two pieces of paperboard are used as front and back covers. On the cover, the title: "C. P. Cavafy Poems. Alexandria 1910-1915", handwritten by the poet. The original date was "1914", corrected to read "1915" in ink of a different colour. Inside, two blank sheets and then 25 broadsheets, all numbered by hand at top right of the recto; 24 of them are printed. The poem "Alexandrian Kings" handwritten on two sheets with page numbering "13α', β'". The verso of all broadsheets is blank, except for that of sheet 13α' which bears a handwritten note by Cavafy. Handwritten cancellation and emendation in one of the poems ("Far Off", sheet 23). The poems are followed by a blank sheet and a printed table of contents in chronological order, in two columns. The broadsheets were printed at two different printing houses (Kasimatis & Ionas and M. C. Fakos) and date to 1914 and 1915.

              Cavafy's poetry collection containing 54 poems of the 1910-1918 period. A piece of paperboard folded in half is used as front and back covers. On the cover, the printed title: "C. P. Cavafy Poems. Alexandria 1910-1918". The original date indication "1917" has been corrected by hand to "1918", in ink. On the inside, printed title page repeating the details on the cover. The end date was originally printed "1916" and corrected twice by hand to "1917" and "1918". A blank sheet follows and then printed broadsheets containing the poems, numbered at top right of the recto. The numbering is mostly printed, in a few instances handwritten, and in some it has been corrected by hand. The verso of all broadsheets is blank. The poems are followed by a blank sheet and a printed table of contents in chronological order, in two columns. The contents page is part of the sheet also containing the title page. The 1916 titles are handwritten by Cavafy, except for the first one. The 1917 poem titles are also handwritten as well as those of 1918, which are written on the verso of the contents page. The broadsheets were printed at the Kasimatis & Ionas printing house in the period 1914-1918. Two of them, "Far Off" (No 23) and "One Night" (No 28), also bear a first print indication (1914 and 1915, respectively).

              Printed poetry collection by Cavafy. It comprises bound broadsheets, printed at the Kasimatis & Ionas printing house. The collection contains 40 poems and consists of 100 pages; inserted sheet with the poem titles in two columns and in chronological order. Numbering at top right of the recto of each sheet, rather than on each page. Some of the numbers have been corrected by hand. The poems are printed on different dates during the 1925-1930 period, and with fonts of various sizes. Five copies. Handwritten dedication by Cavafy to the playwright Pantelis Horn in the title page of one of the copies. The inserted sheet of this copy contains the titles of three poems, handwritten. Number "5" in the dates "1905" and "1915" on the front cover is handwritten rather than printed. Handwritten dedication by Cavafy to Kostas Miniakis in the title page of the second copy. Its cover is of a different colour from that of the other two copies.

Apart from three parts of the item, the rest bear writing (by hand or printed) on either side. The versos of five parts of the item have a different theme (not a chronological list).               Collection of poems by Cavafy, comprising 44 loose printed broadsheets, with 40 poems on the recto. The verso of all sheets is blank, except for one, which bears handwritten notes. They have all been printed at the Kasimatis & Ionas printing house during the period 1917-1920. Two of the broadsheets have an indication of the month in which they were printed (July 1919). They bear printed numbering (3-41) at top right of the recto, crossed out and corrected on several instances in ink by Cavafy. The first poem ("But Wise Men Apprehend What Is Imminent") bears the number 14, crossed out in ink. The next poem ("In the Entrance of the Café") bears the number "3" (corrected by hand from the printed "16"). From there on, the numbering is sequential. There is no front cover, rear cover or table of contents. Handwritten notes by Tellos Agras in pencil on some of the broadsheets. A hole at top left of all sheets indicates that they were bound using a paperclip. Accompanied by envelope.

Printed and handwritten page numbers with pencil on the top right on recto. A hole at the top left on recto of all sheets indicates that they used to be bound by a paperclip.
