Biographical history
Angelos Sikelianos was born on the island of Leucas (Lefkada, Greece) in 1884. He settled in Athens in 1900 and started publishing his poems two years later. In 1907 he married Eva Palmer, with whose support and full-hearted participation he organised the Delphic Festivals (1927, 1930). Sikelianos was also a prose writer and a composer of tragedies. He died in Athens in 1951.

Handwritten letter by Angelos Sikelianos, possibly to Rica Singopoulo, on the recto of two sheets. Reference to individuals linked to the intellectual life of Alexandria as well as to his work "Alafroiskiotos". According to the content of the letter, a "song" by Sikelianos is enclosed. Place and an incomplete date noted on the verso of the first sheet; number "2" on the recto of the second sheet. (Delphi)
