It contains receipts for the purchase of shares through the Crédit Lyonnais, Banque Imperiale Ottomane and Betts & Co, dating to the period 1890-1896. Cavafy's name ("Constantin F. Cavafy", "C. F. Cavafy') appears on three of them, while the name "J. Cavafy" (=John Cavafy) appears on one (1892). A total of five receipts.

On the "title page" (made of a cover from the 1910 poetry collection of Cavafy) the title "C. P. Cavafy Poems" and the indication "Alexandria 1910" as well as the note "[Englished by J. C. Cavafy]", handwritten by John Cavafy below the word "Poems". On the interior of the cover, another handwritten note by John Cavafy dated "14 May 1911". It is followed by the poems, each with the printed text in Greek and the typewritten English translation. The page numbering is common for both languages. The Greek text of the poem "The City" on a page cut off from the journal Nea Zoi and that of the poem "The God Abandons Antony" on a page cut off from the journal Grammata. Four pages of contents in Greek and in English, numbered "41" and "42". The pages of contents in Greek have been cut off from a printed poetry collection. They are followed by the English translations of another five poems, without page numbering. A total of twenty-six poems have been translated. Cavafy's Poems" and the indication "Alexandria 1910". Below the word "Poems", the handwritten note by John Cavafy "Englished by J. C. Cavafy". It is preceded by a quote of unknown authorship and followed by four pages of contents, with the poem titles in English. They are followed by the English translations of the poems. A total of forty-three of Cavafy's poems are translated. Their titles are either typewritten or handwritten. In some instances, there are inserted printed broadsheets with the poems in Greek or parts of prints affixed on the existing pages. Cancellations and emendations in most translations, be they handwritten or typewritten. The date indication "1912" on one of the broadsheets. The 71 pages of the book are numbered, either typewritten or handwritten. The printed broadsheets are not included in the page numbering. The front and back covers are blank.

The contents of the volume are not recorded. The volume layout includes the printed broadsheets with the poems in Greek and their handwritten English translation. Publication dates are marked on the broadsheets: "1914, 1915, 1916". Fifteen poems have been translated. Few cancellations and emendations. Some of the emendations on small-size papers, pasted on the emended word or phrase. The metal staples of the binding are missing. The unmarked cover is made of paperboard.

Handwritten diary from Cavafy's trip to Greece during the period 13 June-5 August 1901. It is written in English, on 31 sheets of various sizes, among which letterheads of the Khedivial Mail Steamship Company, the Grand Hotel d'Angleterre in Athens, the Grand Hotels of Faliron and Patras as well as the Austrian Lloyd (Oesterreichischer Lloyd). It also includes a draft plan of the central part of the city of Patras (part of the entry of on 31 July), with the street names in Greek. The diary contains daily entries by Cavafy, in which he describes his trip by boat to and from Alexandria as well as his activities, acquaintances, social encounters and impressions from Athens and the other places he visited.

The names of individuals are recorded chronollogically (1920-1926); next to the names is the number of issues sent to each of them as well as notes by Cavafy regarding the person who mediates for the acquisition of the issue or who will be the final recipient. An the top of the list it is stated that the distribution started in April 1920. The total of issues distributed is recorded at the end of each page and then it is carried forward to the top of the next one.

John informs him of the departure of their brother, Aristeidis, for Marseilles after having abandoned his wife, and of the relevant letters sent by Aristeidis to members of his family. His wife's family (Vouros) threatens to take harsh measures if Aristeidis does not return soon. The sender asks George to convince Aristeidis to return to Egypt as soon as possible. The draft letter has been written by at least two different persons, but not by John (seemingly by some of his brothers). At the bottom of the verso of the sixth sheet, the poet's signature, the date and the place: "Constantine Cavafy / 15 April 1883 / Yenikeuy (Constantinople) / At Mons. G. Fotiadis villa". "Addenda to Genealogical Gossip" " on the recto of the seventh sheet. On the piece of paper, notes, most likely by John Cavafy, on the family branch in London and in Liverpool. It should be dated to a period postdating the rest of the text, as the latest year recorded is 1891. The text refers to all that the poet heard and learned in Istanbul from his grandfather George Fotiadis and from his aunt Roxandra Plessou, his father's sister, regarding the ancestors of the Cavafy and Fotiadis families.
