The sender refers to the publication of the French translations of fourteen of Cavafy's poems by Yourcenar and Dimaras in a French journal; he considers the translations poor and unworthy of the poet. Consequently, he forbids Yourcenar to publish any further translations of Cavafy's works. He informs Dimaras that a French publication of the poems is being prepared; G. Papoutsakis has translated the poems. Singopoulo also refers to the re-publication of Cavafy's poems by an Athenian publishing house this time, and asks for Dimaras' advice on the subject. They all express their satisfaction regarding the establishment of the group (as a matter of fact, the first one nominates two new members) and agree to become its members.
