Scope and content
Handwritten draft letter (possibly fragmentary) by Cavafy to a recipient named Christopher (probably Scaife) on both sides of a sheet of paper. Reference to a possible visit of the recipient to Alexandria as well as to a lecture he will be giving on Shakespeare's Hamlet. Cavafy also refers to translations of his poems into English by the recipient of the letter and informs him that he is returning to him the –in his opinion successful– translation of the poem "The Mirror in the Entrance". Cancellations and emendations.
