              Manuscript of a poem in English ("Darkness and Shadows") on both sides of a sheet of paper. The note "a transcription from the French of C.F.C. [Constantine F. Cavafy]" below the title; the initials "J.C.C. [John Cavafy]", in place of a signature, on the verso. It is the English translation of one of Cavafy's poems, originally written in French, made and recorded by his brother, John.
