Cavafy thanks Agras for supporting his work and provides clarifications as to the poem collection that he had sent him in the past. At the same time, he offers detailed information on the way his poems are distributed, while he speaks warmly of the special feature to his work in the journal Nea Techni, in which Agras also took part. Cavafy also encloses a list with the chronological order of his poems and a clipping of Alexandrini Techni with his printed poems. Finally, he sends two copies of the poem “Days of 1901”.

They have all been printed at the Kasimatis & Ionas printing house during the period 1917-1920. Two of the broadsheets have an indication of the month in which they were printed (July 1919). They bear printed numbering (3-41) at top right of the recto, crossed out and corrected on several instances in ink by Cavafy. The first poem ("But Wise Men Apprehend What Is Imminent") bears the number 14, crossed out in ink. The next poem ("In the Entrance of the Café") bears the number "3" (corrected by hand from the printed "16"). From there on, the numbering is sequential.               Handwritten diary from Cavafy's trip to Greece during the period 13 June-5 August 1901. It is written in English, on 31 sheets of various sizes, among which letterheads of the Khedivial Mail Steamship Company, the Grand Hotel d'Angleterre in Athens, the Grand Hotels of Faliron and Patras as well as the Austrian Lloyd (Oesterreichischer Lloyd). It also includes a draft plan of the central part of the city of Patras (part of the entry of on 31 July), with the street names in Greek. The diary contains daily entries by Cavafy, in which he describes his trip by boat to and from Alexandria as well as his activities, acquaintances, social encounters and impressions from Athens and the other places he visited.

The poems are printed on different dates during the 1926-1929 period, and with fonts of various sizes. In one of the poems ("To Pleasure", sheet 20) there is a handwritten addition in the third verse, while the fourth one has been crossed out. Five copies. One of them was donated to the Center for Neo-Hellenic Studies by the journalist Giannis Marinos, while it had originally been given by Cavafy to Dimitrios Charitatos (see letter in an envelope included in the copy). The inserted sheet of this copy contains the titles of three poems, handwritten.

The sheets are numbered sequentially ("2" to "46") at top right of the recto, usually in print and occasionally by hand, corrected by Cavafy. Some of the poems and the table of contents were printed on broadsheets of the Kasimatis & Ionas printing house in the period 1925-1930. Handwritten notes in pencil below some of the poems, not by Cavafy (the handwriting is perhaps that of Tellos Agras); they are bibliographical references to publications by Dimaras.

The collection contains 40 poems and consists of 100 pages; inserted sheet with the poem titles in two columns and in chronological order. Numbering at top right of the recto of each sheet, rather than on each page. Some of the numbers have been corrected by hand. The poems are printed on different dates during the 1925-1930 period, and with fonts of various sizes. Five copies. Handwritten dedication by Cavafy to the playwright Pantelis Horn in the title page of one of the copies. The inserted sheet of this copy contains the titles of three poems, handwritten. Number "5" in the dates "1905" and "1915" on the front cover is handwritten rather than printed. Handwritten dedication by Cavafy to Kostas Miniakis in the title page of the second copy. Its cover is of a different colour from that of the other two copies.

              Homemade book consisting of typewritten sheets, printed broadsheets and manuscripts. The "title page" is made of a cover from the 1910 poetry collection of Cavafy, with the printed title "C. P. Cavafy's Poems" and the indication "Alexandria 1910". Below the word "Poems", the handwritten note by John Cavafy "Englished by J. C. Cavafy". It is preceded by a quote of unknown authorship and followed by four pages of contents, with the poem titles in English. They are followed by the English translations of the poems. A total of forty-three of Cavafy's poems are translated. Their titles are either typewritten or handwritten. In some instances, there are inserted printed broadsheets with the poems in Greek or parts of prints affixed on the existing pages. Cancellations and emendations in most translations, be they handwritten or typewritten. The date indication "1912" on one of the broadsheets. The 71 pages of the book are numbered, either typewritten or handwritten. The printed broadsheets are not included in the page numbering. The front and back covers are blank.

              Cavafy's collection containing 25 poems of the 1910-1915 period. Two pieces of paperboard are used as front and back covers. On the cover, the title: "C. P. Cavafy Poems. Alexandria 1910-1915", handwritten by the poet. The original date was "1914", corrected to read "1915" in ink of a different colour. Inside, two blank sheets and then 25 broadsheets, all numbered by hand at top right of the recto; 24 of them are printed. The poem "Alexandrian Kings" handwritten on two sheets with page numbering "13α', β'". The verso of all broadsheets is blank, except for that of sheet 13α' which bears a handwritten note by Cavafy. Handwritten cancellation and emendation in one of the poems ("Far Off", sheet 23). The poems are followed by a blank sheet and a printed table of contents in chronological order, in two columns. The broadsheets were printed at two different printing houses (Kasimatis & Ionas and M. C. Fakos) and date to 1914 and 1915.

The first date (initially "1916") has been corrected by the poet, and the second is handwritten. The same details are repeated on the title page, on which, however, the date is correct ("1919"). A blank sheet has most likely been cut off. On the first blank page, handwritten dedication by Marios Vaianos to Angelos Troupakis in red pencil, dated "1.7.30". The collection consists of bound printed broadsheets and contains sixty-one poems. The poems are numbered at top right, in print or by hand, occasionally corrected by the poet. Handwritten cancellations and emendations by Cavafy in some of the poems. The collection also contains a printed folding sheet with the poem titles in two columns and in chronological order. The title of the last poem is handwritten by Cavafy. The broasheets were printed at the Kasimatis & Ionas printing house in the period 1925-1929. On some of them there is full date of printing and on some others the date of first print. Accompanied by signed certificate and kept in a box made of hard fabric-lined paperboard.

              On the inside, printed title page repeating the details on the cover. The end date was originally printed "19" and handwritten "16"; it was corrected by hand to "1920". Two blank sheets follow. On the recto of the first sheet, the handwritten note: "Missing: As Much As You Can 7[.] Imenus 56". The printed broadsheets containing the poems follow, numbered at top right of the recto (1 to 59 – sheets 7 and 56 are missing). The numbering is mostly printed, in a few instances handwritten, and in some it has been corrected by hand. The verso of all broadsheets is blank. The poems are followed by a blank sheet and printed table of contents in chronological order, in two columns. The contents page is part of the sheet also containing the title page. The poem titles are preceded by a mark in pencil. The 1919 titles are crossed out, while three of them are handwritten. Two 1919 poem titles and a 1920 poem title are handwritten on the verso of the contents page and have been crossed out. The broadsheets were printed at the Kasimatis & Ionas printing house (Alexandria) during the 1917-1920 period (five of them also mention the month of printing: two in July 1919, and one each in September 1919, December 1919 and March 1920).

The volume layout includes the printed broadsheets with the poems in Greek and their handwritten English translation. Publication dates are marked on the broadsheets: "1914, 1915, 1916". Fifteen poems have been translated. Few cancellations and emendations. Some of the emendations on small-size papers, pasted on the emended word or phrase. The metal staples of the binding are missing. The unmarked cover is made of paperboard.

One of the copies contains an inserted sheet with the poem "Walls" on the recto and page number "40". The poem is written by Rica Singopoulo and is not included in print in any of the copies. Its title has been filled-in by hand in the table of contents as well (page 42). Handwritten dedication by Cavafy Vlasis Gavriilidis in the title page of the second copy. Each copy is printed on paper of different quality.

The word "Poems", in the centre of the first page. The collection contains twenty-one poems. Page numbers are indicated ("3" to "39") at centre bottom of the sheets. Handwritten emendations by Cavafy in some of the poems (pages "12, 20, 23, 29, 31-32, 36"). The table of contents and the last blank page are missing; the verso of the latter bore the details of the printing house (Kasimatis & Ionas). The bifolio constituting the front and back covers has been detached. The book is accompanied by two Press clippings. One is from the Tachydromos of Alexandria, dated 13/4/1958, and contains an article by Manolis Gialourakis, entitled "Perimenontas tous varvarous. Ligoselidi syllogi tou C. P. Cavafy", pertaining to the poetry collection of 1904. The other clipping, from the newspaper Vima, dated 10/10/1968, contains an article by G. N. Kranidiotis entitled "Anekdota poiimata tou Cavafy".
