Printed four-page pamphlet with the poem "Walls" and its English translation by the poet's brother, John Cavafy. The first page bears the poem title and the poet's name, a brief quote from Aeschylus as well as place (Alexandria) and date indication (1 September 1896). Two typographic ornaments, one at top left and another at bottom right. Border.
On the second page, the poem in Greek inside a border, and the initials "C.C.". On the third page, in the same layout, the indication "Translation" and the initials "J.C.C.". The layout of the fourth page is similar to that of the first one, but the date (1897) is written in Roman numerals. Accompanied by another copy torn in two places.
Two leather-bound copies of a volume, comprising typewritten English translations of Cavafy's poems by his brother, John. On the cover, the title "Cavafy Poems" in gold letters inside a gold border. On the "title page", the note "Poems written in Greek by C. P. Cavafy translated by J. C. Cavafy" and the indication "Alexandria 1916". It is followed by five pages of contents and the poems in English. The pages are numbered ("i-v" and "1-64") at bottom centre. The volume includes forty-three poems, all typewritten. Only in two instances, when a quote from an ancient author is include, the Greek text has been handwritten by John Cavafy. In that case, John has added his English translation, copied from a publication, on an piece of paper covering the Greek text.

The "title page" is made of a cover from the 1910 poetry collection of Cavafy, with the printed title "C. P. Cavafy's Poems" and the indication "Alexandria 1910". Below the word "Poems", the handwritten note by John Cavafy "Englished by J. C. Cavafy". It is preceded by a quote of unknown authorship and followed by four pages of contents, with the poem titles in English. They are followed by the English translations of the poems. A total of forty-three of Cavafy's poems are translated. Their titles are either typewritten or handwritten. In some instances, there are inserted printed broadsheets with the poems in Greek or parts of prints affixed on the existing pages. Cancellations and emendations in most translations, be they handwritten or typewritten. The date indication "1912" on one of the broadsheets. The 71 pages of the book are numbered, either typewritten or handwritten. The printed broadsheets are not included in the page numbering. The front and back covers are blank.
Cavafy, JohnPrinted poetry collection (Issue) of Cavafy, published in 1910 in Alexandria by the Kasimatis & Ionas printing house. It contains 21 poems and comprises a total of 46 pages, of which 3 to 39 are sequentially numbered; [40] is blank, without numbering and followed by pages 41-42 with the Contents. Two copies. One of the copies contains an inserted sheet with the poem "Walls" on the recto and page number "40". The poem is written by Rica Singopoulo and is not included in print in any of the copies. Its title has been filled-in by hand in the table of contents as well (page 42). Handwritten dedication by Cavafy Vlasis Gavriilidis in the title page of the second copy. Each copy is printed on paper of different quality.
