Archivist's note
Tarelli writes to Singopoulo regarding the publication of an article of his in an English journal. The article is about Cavafy's work and will contain English translations of his poems. To this scope, Tarelli asks, on the one hand, Singopoulo's consent and, on the other, information about the forthcoming translation of Cavafy's poems by an English publishing house. He also points out his communication with printed media in which Cavafy's poems that he intends to utilise have already been published. He encloses his own translations of poems by Cavafy. The following titles are mentioned: "In Port", "Prayer", "Awaiting the Barbarians", "The God Abandons Antony", "Interruption", "Ionic", "Walls", "The Windows", "Candles", "Ithaca".
