Scope and content
Clipping from the French-language newspaper La Patrie. An unsigned article on the first page refers to the first meeting of the literary and artistic group "La Lanterne Sourde Egyptienne" of Paul Vanderborght in Cairo. Reference to an impending event in honour of Cavafy, "one of the greatest poets of contemporary Greece, alongside Palamas". The relevant lines are marked and underlined. Vanderborght had informed Cavafy by letter about this event, so the article may be dated to 1929.
