Printed poetry collection by Cavafy (Β2). On the paperboard cover, the title "C. P. Cavafy Poems" and the indication "Alexandria 1910". The word "Poems", in the centre of the first page. The collection contains twenty-one poems. Page numbers are indicated ("3" to "39") at centre bottom of the sheets. Handwritten emendations by Cavafy in some of the poems (pages "12, 20, 23, 29, 31-32, 36"). The table of contents and the last blank page are missing; the verso of the latter bore the details of the printing house (Kasimatis & Ionas). The bifolio constituting the front and back covers has been detached. The book is accompanied by two Press clippings. One is from the Tachydromos of Alexandria, dated 13/4/1958, and contains an article by Manolis Gialourakis, entitled "Perimenontas tous varvarous. Ligoselidi syllogi tou C. P. Cavafy", pertaining to the poetry collection of 1904. The other clipping, from the newspaper Vima, dated 10/10/1968, contains an article by G. N. Kranidiotis entitled "Anekdota poiimata tou Cavafy".

It contains printed crests cut from letterheads, mail envelopes etc., initially pinned on the envelope; draft of a crest with the note "the two branches to take in the helmet"; handwritten quote from Plato's Republic; ten pieces of paper with sketches in pencil; letterhead with the Cavafy family "crest"; printed logo of the Windsor Hotel of Alexandria; press clipping; visiting card of Charikleia Cavafy with address in Hove, England.

Handwritten letter by Raphael Demos to Takis Kalmouchos on both sides of a sheet. The sender, professor of philosophy at Harvard University and translator of Cavafy's poems, asks Kalmouchos to send him a draft printout of the planned publication of the poet's Complete Works. The letter is accompanied by two pages from the journal The New Republic containing the English translations of the poems "Waiting for the Barbarians" and "Thermopylae", together with a brief introduction to the life and work of Cavafy. Press clipping of pages 79-80 from The Spectator. On page 79, an advertisement of Forster's works and of an issue of the The Criterion, in which English translation of the poem "Ithaca" by Cavafy has been published. The handwritten note "Sic semper" ("Always like that", obviously by Forster) in ink in the margin. Accompanied by envelope addressed to Cavafy. The mail rubber stamp provides the date 21/7/1924.

Two sections of the print are affixed on the two sides of a sheet, which is numbered by hand "11" and "12 at top right of the recto and at top left of the verso respectively. The publication details written by Cavafy in the upper part of the recto. Commentary on Shakespeare's view on life as seen through his work Measure for Measure. The article is signed "Constantine F. Cavafy".

Clipping from the newspaper L'Echo de Paris. Article by Georges Bonnamour entitled "Sur la terrace". The name, date and issue number of the newspaper are handwritten by Cavafy.

Press clipping from the newspaper Tilegrafos of 2/14 January 1893, with an article by Cavafy on the poetry of Georgios Stratigis. The poet analyses the work of Stratigis and quotes from his poems. The article is signed "C.F.C.".
