Handwritten diary from Cavafy's trip to Greece during the period 13 June-5 August 1901. It is written in English, on 31 sheets of various sizes, among which letterheads of the Khedivial Mail Steamship Company, the Grand Hotel d'Angleterre in Athens, the Grand Hotels of Faliron and Patras as well as the Austrian Lloyd (Oesterreichischer Lloyd). It also includes a draft plan of the central part of the city of Patras (part of the entry of on 31 July), with the street names in Greek. The diary contains daily entries by Cavafy, in which he describes his trip by boat to and from Alexandria as well as his activities, acquaintances, social encounters and impressions from Athens and the other places he visited.

Handwritten notes with comments by Cavafy on the French translations of his poems, recorded by another person (most probably Rica Singopoulo), since he is mentioned in the text as "C.". The text is written on two separate sheets –recto and verso–, one of which is a letterhead of the journal Alexandrini Techni and bears a printed date indication 193[..]. Draft of written letter by Cavafy to Tellos Agras in single page, with notes, erasures, and corrections on recto and verso. Cavafy thanks Agras for supporting his work and provides clarifications as to the poem collection that he had sent him in the past. At the same time, he offers detailed information on the way his poems are distributed, while he speaks warmly of the special feature to his work in the journal Nea Techni, in which Agras also took part. Cavafy also encloses a list with the chronological order of his poems and a clipping of Alexandrini Techni with his printed poems. Finally, he sends two copies of the poem “Days of 1901”.
