              Handwritten diary from Cavafy's trip to Greece during the period 13 June-5 August 1901. It is written in English, on 31 sheets of various sizes, among which letterheads of the Khedivial Mail Steamship Company, the Grand Hotel d'Angleterre in Athens, the Grand Hotels of Faliron and Patras as well as the Austrian Lloyd (Oesterreichischer Lloyd). It also includes a draft plan of the central part of the city of Patras (part of the entry of on 31 July), with the street names in Greek. The diary contains daily entries by Cavafy, in which he describes his trip by boat to and from Alexandria as well as his activities, acquaintances, social encounters and impressions from Athens and the other places he visited.

Cavafy thanks Agras for supporting his work and provides clarifications as to the poem collection that he had sent him in the past. On one side of the first sheet, the title "The Funeral of Sarpedon", note on the publication of the poem (in Skokos' Ethnikon Imerologion), emendations and variations in some of the verses, all written by Cavafy and crossed out. At the top of the page, two crossed out verses of a poem and number "115" at right. On the other side of the sheet, part of the poem "The Mimiambs of Herodas", written by another person.
